Tbh, the title “copywriter” has never felt right for me because:
1. My extended family assumes I work in legal2. I’m not a big fan of the ad industry (sue me!)3. So much of what I do goes beyond writingTherefore, I’d like to be called a world builder. This feels much more appropriate given I’ve:1. Helped launch 18 brands2. Sold dozens of TV, online, and social scripts3. Co-founded 3 companiesBasically, I turn all the imaginary worlds swirling around my head into real life worlds—for a living. And no, it can’t be healthy to type while hunched over my laptop for this many hours every day. I should probably do more finger stretches.Curious what I’m currently dreaming up or know of a good massage therapist in the Austin area? Let's chat.Select clients:
